If Creativity has an end point, this is it!

Love After Love, Poem by Derek Walcott

Love After Love

      by Derek Walcott

The time will come, when,
with elation,
you will greet yourself arriving
at your own door,
in your own mirror.
And each will smile at the other’s welcome,
and say, “Sit here, Eat. Relax.”
You will love again this stranger who is your Self.
Give wine. Give bread.
Give back your heart,
to itself,
to this stranger who has loved you
all your life.
whom you ignored for another,
but who knows you by heart.

This is such a beautiful poem. It almost made me cry with a mixture of quiet joy and sadness. It speaks to me in a way beyond words and on the edge of my personal understanding - an edge I would like to explore.

    Thanks.

What a beautiful thought. It's an interesting idea, to give back to yourself, and a thing that not many people can do.

    Thank you.
